8th Graders will be studying the topic of Physical science.


Physical science is the study of matter and energy.  This involves chemistry and Physics

1. Matter and Its Interactions - atoms, periodic table of elements, chemical reactions
2. Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions - Newton's laws, electric motors, generators, electromagnets
3. Energy - Potential and Kinectic, speed, energy changes
4. Waves - light, sound, electromagnetic 

.



The 8th graders will also be participating in the science fair.  Each 8th grader will have the opportunity to apply the scientific method to conduct independent research.
