Welcome to Ms. Holli Carlton's Middle School Special Education Class! I am so excited and thankful to be your child's teacher this year! My goal is that your child feels loved, included, and learns everything they can along the way. I want them to reach their full potential within and outside of the classroom.
This year will be my third year teaching and my fifth year working in special education. I will be teaching resource ELA and math for grades 6-8. I am looking forward to learning and growing this year and getting to work with your student! Special education truly is my passion.
I received my bachelor's degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Fall 2019, and this is my fifth year working in special education. My husband and I have two beautiful little boys, and we love serving our community! I assist with the high school girls' basketball team and my husband coaches the jr. high boys' basketball team.
My schedule is as follows:
1st Hour - 6th Grade Math
2nd Hour - Planning
3rd Hour - 6th/7th Grade Math Enrichment (8th Grade Study Skills)
4th Hour - 7th Grade Math
5th Hour - 7th Grade ELA
6th Hour - 6th-8th Grade ELA
7th Hour - 6th/8th Grade ELA
All class assignments and notes can be found on Google Classroom. Your student was sent home a note with the class code and given a chance to join in class. You may download the Google Classroom app on your device and access the material from there by logging in with your student's username and password.
Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or concerns at [email protected] and I will do my best to respond in a timely manner. I'm looking forward to a great year!
